The Vision: When God First Shows You the Seed

The Vision: When God First Shows You the Seed

Hey Travelers,

So it begins:

There’s a moment in every person’s life when God plants something deep inside them — a desire, a calling, a dream, a direction they can’t shake. It doesn’t arrive fully formed. It doesn’t come with instructions. It rarely even makes sense at first.

It shows up like a seed.
Small. Mysterious. Easy to overlook.
But powerful beyond imagination.

This 8-part series is a journey through the life of that seed — from the first vision God gives you, to the darkness of hidden seasons, to the moment growth breaks through the surface.

If you’ve ever felt called… but confused,
purposeful… yet unprepared,
buried… but not abandoned —
then this is for you.

Welcome to The Seed Series.
Let God show you how He grows destiny

Habakkuk 2:2: Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.

I remember the exact moment God placed the vision in my heart.
It wasn’t loud.
It wasn’t dramatic.
There was no lightning bolt, no booming voice, no angel with a scroll.

It was a whisper — soft but unforgettable.

It came to me while I wasn’t even “spiritual” that day. I wasn’t fasting, I wasn’t on my knees, I wasn’t in deep worship. I was simply sitting, thinking, heart wandering… and suddenly I felt something land inside my spirit.

A picture.
A sense.
A possibility.

It was like God held up a tiny seed and showed me what it could become.

And what’s wild? It didn’t look anything like my current life. It didn’t match my circumstances. It didn’t make sense. But the moment I saw it, something in me said:

“That’s from God.”

Not because it was easy — but because it was too big, too bold, too beautiful to come from me.

That’s how the seed shows up.
Not as a fully formed destiny, but as a glimpse.

The author always brings such encouragement and wisdom through each articles that I read from her thus far. Prioritizing The Lord to direct our path in every aspect of our lives is what allows us to build a relationship with The Lord. When we build a relationship with Him, He is able to plant seeds into our lives so we may use it for his ministry. It is up to us to use his talents in a Good way.
